Kath­rin Albrecht joi­n­ed the TUM Inter­na­tio­nal team in 2020 as a pro­ject mana­ger. Her focus is on desig­ning and imple­men­ting work­shops, buil­ding inno­va­ti­on eco­sys­tems, and deve­lo­ping and sup­port­ing uni­ver­si­ty cam­pu­ses. Sin­ce Janu­ary 2021, she has been respon­si­ble for the Kutai­si Inter­na­tio­nal Uni­ver­si­ty (KIU) pro­ject, among others, as well as par­ti­ci­pa­ting in seve­ral other pro­jects (e.g. NUU and ACES). She is pas­sio­na­te about buil­ding net­works and eco­sys­tems to joint­ly for­mu­la­te new, inno­va­ti­ve solu­ti­ons using the “co-crea­ti­on” approach.

Kath­rin stu­di­ed Geo­gra­phy and Poli­ti­cal and Social Stu­dies (B.Sc.) in Würz­burg and Geo­gra­phy (M.Sc.) with a focus on sus­taina­bi­li­ty issues at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Bonn. She began her pro­fes­sio­nal care­er at the Ulm Cham­ber of Com­mer­ce and Indus­try as a pro­ject mana­ger for regio­nal inno­va­ti­on manage­ment. Among other things, she was respon­si­ble the­re for set­ting up a net­work of all inno­va­ti­on inter­me­dia­ries in the area of know­ledge and tech­no­lo­gy trans­fer in the regi­on. Kath­rin also work­ed at the Munich Uni­ver­si­ty of Appli­ed Sci­en­ces as a co-lec­tu­rer for a semi­nar on glo­bal chal­lenges and sus­taina­bi­li­ty issues.
