The DAFG - German-Arab Friendship Society e.V. together with the vbw - Association of Bavarian Business e.V. organized a cross-industry delegation trip to Riyadh, Abu Dhabi and Dubai, in which the management of TUM International participated. The primary goal of the trip was a sustainable intensification of German-Saudi and German-Emirati relations.

The Arab Gulf states are in transition, transforming the economic sector into a modern, high-tech knowledge society. An overwhelming majority of young and well-educated accelerates the transformation. Diversification, Industry 4.0, smart cities, science, and technology parks are just a few examples of how economies are being repositioned. In addition, profits from the energy sector are being reinvested in a sustainable manner. Exciting opportunities for German and European partners.  
 
Representatives of TUM, TUM International and HDBW discussed ideas, concepts, and joint approaches with stakeholders from industry, academia and government.
 
The extremely diverse program offered many starting points for future cooperation as well as plenty of time for networking along the way.
